The triennial World Ballet Festival reigns as the foremost of the world's many galas. The inaugural Festival in 1976 shook the world by bringing together three great legends, Margot Fonteyn, Maya Plisetskaya, and Alicia Alonso on the same stage. The festival has since built an enduring reputation as a unique opportunity to witness the current state of the international ballet scene.

The Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and once again, dancers unite from all over the world in a showcase of the latest and brightest of the international ballet world. From Australia, two young talented dancers, Lucinda Dunn and Matthew Lawrence (Australian Ballet), are on stage.
